I have only been into RC for 4 years.  Started out flying electrics in Mission Viejo at Olympiad Park (AKA Flo-Jo).  Joined OCMA as the field at Black Star was being readied.  I volunteered to be a Field Marshal at that time and have been doing that "tough duty" (?) since that time.  I am presently serving as the OCMA Safety Officer.
My interest in RC started while I was working as a patrol Deputy with the Orange County Sheriff's Department in the early/mid 80's.  I worked Mile Square Park on holidays and spent a few hours watching you "old guys" fly back then.  My son bought me my first RC plane, a Hobby Zone Commander, the Christmas before I retired.  As soon as I figured out how to keep it in the air, I was hooked.  You can find me and my warbird Squadron at the field most weekday mornings and weekends, every so often.  The "Squadron" is down to a Kyosho Spitfire90 and an ESM P-51 on the assembly table.
